On May 17, the Scandinavian Chamber of Commerce in Estonia joined the Norwegian community in Estonia to celebrate Norway’s Constitution Day at Tehasemaja.
The event brought together close to 100 participants, including members of the Norwegian community, Chamber members, families, and friends. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with tradition, music, speeches, and plenty of opportunities to reconnect with familiar faces while also welcoming new members of the community.
Following the traditional Constitution Day programme, guests enjoyed the festive atmosphere, socialising, and activities for both adults and children. The celebration once again demonstrated the strong ties between the Nordic communities in Estonia and the importance of creating opportunities to meet and celebrate together.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was the opportunity to express our appreciation to Ambassador Marius Dirdal, who will soon be concluding his assignment in Estonia. Throughout his time as Ambassador, he has been a valued supporter of the Scandinavian and international business community and has actively participated in numerous Chamber initiatives and events.
On behalf of the Scandinavian Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, Vice Chair Helena Almqvist presented Ambassador Dirdal with a farewell gift and thanked him for his engagement, openness, and contribution to strengthening the ties between Norway and Estonia.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all participants, sponsors, organisers, and volunteers who helped make the celebration possible.
Thank you for a fantastic Constitution Day celebration, and we look forward to many more opportunities to gather the Nordic community in Estonia.
