A Day in Narva with the Scandinavian Chamber

On August 15, the Scandinavian Chamber of Commerce in Estonia organized a full-day trip to Narva, giving our members the chance to discover Estonia’s easternmost city, its history, and its business environment.

The program began with a guided city tour of Narva, followed by lunch and a visit to Narva Fortress. A highlight of the day was the guided walk through the historic Kreenholm Manufacturing Complex, where participants explored the impressive industrial architecture and gained an insight into the site’s remarkable history and future potential.

In the afternoon, we hosted a roundtable discussion with Scandinavian companies operating in Ida-Virumaa, exchanging views on opportunities and challenges in the region. This was followed by a dinner at Café Kaar together with the Mayor of Narva, who provided valuable perspectives on the city’s development and its role in Estonia.

The day concluded with the International Opera Gala at Kreenholm – a unique and inspiring performance in an unforgettable setting.

We extend our warm thanks to the City of Narva and Jaanus at GIAB Eesti for their kind hospitality, and to all our members who joined us. It was truly a memorable day, and we look forward to future opportunities to explore other regions of Estonia together with our community.
