Nordic Executive Lunch with Minister Erkki Keldo

On 18 February, the Scandinavian Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of hosting a Nordic Executive Lunch with Erkki Keldo, Estonia’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Industry, organised in cooperation with the Finnish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce.

The lunch brought together members of the Nordic-Baltic business community for an open and engaging discussion on key economic developments and policy priorities affecting the region.

The conversation covered a wide range of topics relevant to businesses operating in Estonia and the wider Nordic–Baltic region. Participants discussed issues such as economic competitiveness, energy costs, industry development, food security and investment opportunities in Estonia.

Demographic challenges were also an important part of the discussion, including the implications of an ageing population and a shrinking workforce, which are becoming increasingly significant for economies across the region.

The lunch provided an excellent opportunity for members to exchange views directly with the minister and share perspectives from the business community in an informal and constructive setting.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Minister Erkki Keldo and his team for the valuable exchange, to all participants for contributing to the discussion, and to von Stackelberg Hotel for hosting us in such a welcoming setting.
