DFDS

DFDS (Det Forenede Dampskibs-Selskab) is a Danish logistics and ferry company with a long history known for providing reliable and efficient transportation services across Europe and beyond.

Founded in 1866, DFDS has grown to become a leading provider of ferry and logistics solutions, connecting people and goods across Scandinavia, the Baltics, the UK, Mediterranean and since 2024 also in the Strait of Gibraltar.

Our network combines ferry, road, and rail transport with complementary logistics solutions. The ferry network carries both freight and passengers, and we leverage the ferry network by combining road, ferry, and contract logistics to provide end-to-end solutions in and around Europe.

Our logistics solutions include contract logistics, customs services, freight forwarding, packaging, and control tower solutions. We strive to create strong partnerships with our customers by serving them with care and passion, listening before making decisions, doing what we say we’ll do, and by learning, developing, and improving every day – in short, by moving together.

Following a period with significant expansion of the network, our new strategy sets us on a path to unlock the value of the expanded network through organic growth and focus on cash flow generation. We are also moving to green. On land, we deploy one of the largest fleet of e-trucks in Europe, and we aim to have six green ferries on the water by 2030.

DFDS Estonia is a subsidiary of DFDS A/S operating Paldiski-Kapellskär ferry route and providing fastest sea connection between Estonia and Sweden both for freight and passengers. We operate 6 weekly sailings from both ports and sailing time is around 10 hours. Customers value our stabile service-offering, good onboard services, peaceful sailing atmosphere and most of all – good schedule and quick crossing.

In the Baltics, DFDS operates additionally 2 routes from Lithuania, Klaipeda. Klaipeda-Karlshamn route provides a connection to South of Sweden and enables passengers to travel further to Denmark, Germany. Klaipeda-Kiel route provides a good alternative reaching Germany instead of road transport via Poland.
